ABOUT ABOUT

Join us for an intimate house concert featuring guitarist, singer and songwriter, Eric McFadden in this rare unplugged event. Warming up is the Bay Area's own Jenny Kerr backed up by her guitarist/producer Phillip "Philbillie" Milner who has also produced and mixed several CD's for Eric, as well. They are both world-class songwriters and performers and we're thrilled and honored at the chance to get up close and personal with these extroardinary artists.

This music party will take place in a private home in San Rafael, with high ceilings and hardwood floors, the ideal listening space for Eric and Jenny's acoustic music—but that means space is limited to only 40 seats. To reserve your spot, please make an advance donation here on Ticketleap. All donations go to the musicians.

If you have any questions, RSVP to [email protected]

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

Eric McFadden is a virtuoso of the six-string. He has toured the world both as a solo artist, as well as traveling with funk legend George Clinton (Parliament/Funkadelic), and rock legend Eric Burdon (The Animals). McFadden is a member of the new supergroup, T.E.N. (www.TEN-music.com), alongside Thomas Pridgen (Mars Volta) and Norwood Fisher (Fishbone) and tours regularly with New Orleans favorite, Anders Osborne. Eric has worked with Les Claypool, Joe Strummer, The Reverend Horton Heat, The Coup, Galactic, Keb Mo, Bernie Worrell, Pat MacDonald, Fishbone, Widespread Panic, Jackson Browne, Nels Cline, and Mike Watt, among many others. This intimate house concert setting will frame Eric in the softer light of his acoustic singer/songwriter side with many songs from his captivating acoustic-based albums, "Train To Salvation" and "The Light Ahead”, both produced and mixed by Philbillie.

Jenny Kerr, a third-gen native of San Francisco is a gifted songwriter, bringing in the traditions of blues and honky tonk while retaining a singular voice that is honest and strong. Her songs are personal and universal at once, with anthemic stories told simply and well and a balance between vulnerability and ballsy sass. Though backed by a stellar band, Jenny is skilled with a variety of instruments including guitar, banjo, Dobro and is a deft soloist on harmonica. It's her voice, however, that marks her releases as keepers and her shows, must-sees. Thick and rich as delta soil, honed and powerful, Kerr's voice is an instrument itself, whether making you want to raise the rafters or cry in your beer. Who needs a major label?

Jenny's producer and longtime guitar player, Phil "Philbillie" Milner, was guitar tech for Bob Weir & Ratdog and traded licks with the likes of Hot Tuna, Los Lobos, Bruce Hornsby's band and The Black Crows in many a backstage and hotel room jam and also worked for Tracy Chapman, Bonnie Raitt, Primus, Graham Nash, and a few other cool players.  He also produces and engineers others' records, including guitar virtuoso, Eric Mcfadden, whose all-acoustic "Devil Moon" album is a number one pick on CDBaby.com.
